Expoventure

Wichita Chamber of Commerce has put together a business expo. I have a booth and will also go around and visit the other exhibitors. Right now my goal is to get my name out and get people thinking. Now I am putting together the materials I will need. I just finished a presentation that will run on my laptop. Business cards have come in. (I bought 5000 so that I would not run out). I will have flyers for both the business and individual sides. I am also leaning to doing a drawing so that I can do a mail list from the Expo.
The big problem now is that I can't get the sign bid on. It was the first thing I started but Stardust has not gotten me an estimate yet. If I don't get a bid today, I will look elsewhere.

The Expoventure is Thursday October 6th from 8:30am to 6pm. Admission is free. I have tickets or you can get in with a business card.

Audit

Last weekend I audited the second 2 days of the training program. It was a good, if exhasting, experience. First, I meet two different trainers, Larry Bledsoe (I have been using Larry as a Master Consultant) and Fred Steinberg (Sun Capital). Also, hearing the information put differently started to fill in and smooth out the gaps. I also got a bunch of questions answered.
It was a small class with 3 others auditing. It was nice to talk to them and hear what they are doing. Overall, it was a good experience.

Depressed

I was doing fine with my progress until last Thursday. I had high hopes for the business note I submitted but I had not done my homework and it was a no go. If I had read the reference book's stuff on biz notes I may have still submitted it(funder had a little different info) but I would not have had my hopes up. I had taken another call from a biz note person and told him what I needed but I have not heard back.
I am planning on going to audit the Sat and Sun training sessions this weekend in KC. Hopefully, I will come away recharged.
I have also signed up for the business expoventure the 6th of October. I need to get materials ready for that. May be that will jump start a few deals.

Learning so much

I keep getting requests for information. But they are not simple one. The last one was almost venture capital. But in trying to find out if I can do the deal, I learn so much. One day I will get a deal I can actually submit. May be even get funded. But I have to get the word out about what I can do. Possibly the next big step is the Wichita Business Expo. I may be an exhibitor but I will definitely go and hand out card to the businesses
